My name is Alastair Chong. I am an aspiring leadership teacher , soon-to-be law student and an all-round enthusiast about life. I came to the realization a while ago that the world needs leadership to be redefined. People are increasingly looking towards their bosses, their managers, their CEOs, their Presidents and Prime Ministers to find support and stability yet in the process of doing so we failed to look within ourselves, we failed to realise that stability can only be found within, that people are blaming other people for the things happening to them yet in truth they failed to recognise their own fallacies and weaknesses and choose to ignore it by blaming other people. With so much knowledge online and available to us all, the need for individuality is rising, and this will be what my philosophy of leadership will be based upon.
A leader is more than a title, more than the promises of fame, glory and material wealth. Its about looking within and recognize you for who you are, in all its glory of strengths and weaknesses, embracing you for who you are, seeing, knowing and feeling you. Who you are, what are your values, the one magnificent vision you want to have for your life that’s uniquely you, and most importantly, what are you willing to die for. A true leader lives for his values, recognizes the greatness that lies within, and acts on it. That’s how true leaders are made, and that’s what people are willing to die for. Death is what makes life so beautiful, ladies and gentlemen. Never forget that life is precious because we are all dying, we will always die in the end, and as we were born with nothing , so shall we leave with nothing. Its an endless cycle of life and death , one generation after another, the young replacing the old, yet to be replaced by the new young as the young grow old. We are insignificant specks of dust within an infinite universe that knows no bounds, and the only way to make our lives worth something and to ultimately become a leader, is to seek within, and find yourself. It won’t be an easy journey, and trials will await you, but in the end it is a fight worth fighting for.
Hope that I can serve you well, and enjoy the blog.
